Curt Taylor is a Partner at Saddlebrook Ventures, LLC. He has over thirty years of leadership experience in the energy space where he has technically reviewed hundreds of deals as well as structured the financing on many of those which included, senior debt, subordinated debt, preferred equity and common equity. In addition, Curt has provided leadership managing teams in the financial and technical space, as well as managing transactions that were both domestic and international, including the areas of upstream, midstream, coal and alternatives. A Professional Engineer in the state of Texas with a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M and an MBA from the University of Houston.
Over the last year served as President of Ralph E. Davis and Associates, an engineering consulting firm with over 100 years of history, which is a subsidiary of Opportune LLC, an energy consulting firm with over 300 people that advises
in almost every area of the energy industry.
During the previous 14 years, served as Managing Director, both as Head of Oil & Gas and then Head of Engineering, helping to grow EIG Global Energy Partners, a private equity company, from 30 to 110 employees and the grow the
Assets Under Management from $2 billion to more than $16 billion.
Partner in charge of the Houston Office with the responsibility of finding, reviewing and structuring financial transactions around a multitude of energy projects.
Managed the review of multiple domestic & international packages of assets for acquisition and development including conventional and unconventional production, upstream & midstream.
Led a team at First City that had oversight of 50 different energy workout credits covering the upstream, midstream and service sectors.
